Boy do we have a fun-filled wedding to start your day with.  This fun-loving couple had a peacock-themed wedding.  And while many wouldn't dare attempt to incorporate all of that color into a wedding, this couple pulled it off beautifully.  And one of the best decisions they could have made was to hire Alexandra of ixi photography to capture their special day! The images she captured just can't help but put a smile on your face!

From ixi.photography...Michelle and Russel had a beautiful and unique wedding at the rustic, French, countryside-inspired Le San Michele in Buda, TX. With its deep blue and wrought-iron accents, Le San Michele was the perfect place for this peacock color-inspired wedding.

Russel and Michelle worked together for 5 years before even noticing each other, and then met at a party through mutual friends. Within weeks, they were inseparable. They call each other "penguin," since penguins mate for life! Russel proposed to her in the same way Michelle's grandfather proposed to her grandmother by saying "we should make this thing permanent," and one year later, they were married!

What I loved about this wedding: Michelle and Russel like to do things a little differently, and it showed. Parts of Michelle's hair were colored with bright purple and pink, she had a penguin cake topper (as well as a "penguin love story" cake), her mother made the bouquets entirely by herself (with peacock feathers included!), and Michelle made all the invitations, programs, and party favors by hand. The penguin cake sat atop a beautiful arrangement of peacock cupcakes during the reception, and since Michelle is a passionate hula hooper, she brought it out to the dance floor. Before the wedding, the couple saw each other in front of the venue and Michelle gave Russel a pipe that was "wrapped" inside a box with keyboard keys all over it, since he's a nerd. Michelle loved the fountain and they were excited to get married in front of it. Instead of a unity candle, they combined colored sand into a vase.
