I love Galveston weddings.  Just a hop, skip and a jump south of Houston, Galveston makes for a great "destination" wedding spot.  While many Houston couples look to Galveston to hold scenic engagement shoots, Galveston contains some seriously stunning wedding venues.  Garten Verein is one such venue.  With its stunning architecture and landscaped grounds, Garten Verein is the perfect backdrop for this sweet Galveston wedding.  This couple is oozing with love and excitement to start their new life together.  Eddie Heard of Second Shots Photography was there to capture every heartwarming moment.  There's more sweetness in the gallery.

From Second Shots Photography...I met Amanda & Jose through Pam with Moments Event Planning and Design. What stood out most about Amanda and Jose were they weren't afraid to live in the moment. We initially set out for a notebook themed engagement session on a canoe for their engagement session, so that gives you some idea of how adventurous they are. They truly enjoy family and it was of the utmost importance and that could be felt throughout the ceremony. We arrived at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel on Galveston Beach for the prep for bride and groom. They started off with an emotional first look that brought both of them to tears. I'm a firm believer that a first look and the first time a groom sees his bride at the altar are two completely different emotions. A first look doesn't strip away the emotion of the fleeting seconds that transpire when your bride is standing at the altar. That was truly evident with Amanda and Jose as you could see the raw emotion as her father led her down the aisle. After the ceremony we truly enjoyed a party filled with a full Mariachi band and one of the greatest DJs I've ever heard and saw at a wedding. The night ended epically with Amanda & Jose reliving the moment from Dirty Dancing as Jose hoisted his bride above his head and turned around a few times for good measure. One of the most memorable weddings to date, and I truly want to wish Amanda & Jose all the best as Mr & Mrs. Espinoza!
