Good morning, wedding lovers!  We have finally snagged a wedding by the incomparable Adam Nyholt.  This elegant Houston wedding took place at the gorgeous Corinthian and it is such a classic beauty.  Events in Bloom did a wonderful job with the reception set up.  I love the mix of round banquet tables with the long, wooden rectangular tables.  The mix of tables in addition to the wingback chairs provides a warm feel to the space-like you're sitting in someone's home as opposed to a large banquet.   And Adam's photographs are just unbelievable!  The panoramic photo with the groomsmen is the hottest thing I've seen in a minute!  You can check out even more fabulousness on Adam's blog.

From the Bride...I knew since we're big wine-os and we got engaged at a winery, I definitely wanted to tie that into the wedding.  I also loved deep dark wine tone colors, and I thought that'd be a good way to bring them into the wedding.  That's where we got the ideas for our escort cards being displayed on corks from the vineyard where we got engaged, and the corkscrew party favors too.  As for the feel, I can really say I had no idea until I walked into the Corinthian.  I just fell in love with the columns and the entire layout!  It kind of said "old south" to me, so we went with that (hence chicken fried steak appetizers etc.) I was a little worried about the guests getting lost in the largeness of the Corinthian, so I decided I wanted to do a lot to try and warm things up and make it feel more inviting.  That's when Rob at Events in Bloom brought up the idea of those wooden tables and winged back chairs, and lots and lots of candles.  I think those floating candles were one of my favorite things about the wedding!  Overall, I wanted our wedding to be pretty, of course, but more importantly I wanted the guests to eat well, drink well, and have fun!
