From Cody Kurtz Photography...Taylor and Stephen first met through Taylor's brother, but it wasn't until Taylor was planning a camping trip to Colorado and asked her brother to come and bring some friends along that the pair really hit it off. Literal sparks flew that first night in Colorado as the pair stayed up until 4 am exchanging stories around a campfire. As the trip went on, an abundance of adventuring, laughing, and talking led to a conversation where they agreed to explore a long-distance relationship. Years later, Stephen popped the question oceanside on California cliffs on a trip for Taylor's birthday, surrounded by family and a beautiful view.
Everything can be traced back to the couple's mutual love of nature, so it, of course, was the biggest inspiration for their wedding day. When they found their gem of a venue, Hidden Waters, they knew it was the perfect place for them. They let the surroundings be the focal point and kept the decorations minimal for their outdoor ceremony. For the reception, they used vintage brass candlesticks along with fruit and greenery, all with symbolic meaning, to fill the tables. The dessert table was filled with delicious treats homemade by friends and family as a statement piece of their amazing community.
